Blue Wildebeest Hunts in Texas
SMR offers fully guided hunts for Blue Wildebeest (White-bearded Wildebeest) year around on the ranch in South Texas. Blue Wildebeest bring the sense of Africa to Texas like few others. The sub-species is worth mentioning, as Blue Wildebeest hunts in Texas are for the “White-bearded” sub-species and often referred to by that name. These are the famous migrators of the Serengeti and Masai Mara regions of East Africa. Blue Wildebeest were among the first exotics species SMR added to the ranch and we enjoy seeing new offspring each year.
Blue Wildebeest hunts at SMR are typically done spot-and-stalk, but stand hunting options are available for both rifle hunts and bow hunts.
Hunters may choose to hunt Blue Wildebeest on their own or combine it with other exotics year around. For those hunting between October and February, Blue Wildebeest hunts may be added to a trophy Whitetail Deer hunt.
